Bashar Tabbah is a passionate photographer, historian, and traveler. He was influenced by photographs taken by western expeditions over the last two centuries in the Levant. Growing up in Jordan surrounded by historical treasures highly influenced his passion. Additionally, being of both British and Jordanian roots offers Bashar a perspective that neither side can truly offer on its own.
Since 2004, he has documented over 300 locations in 20 countries. Bashar has found his calling in photographing architecture, landscape and travel, specifically in the lands of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.
Bashar walks a fine line between documentary and artistry in his work. He describes what he does as a combined form of freedom of movement, and education in cultures and their past; two facets that fulfill a desire.
