James R Odrowski

James Odrowski’s father was an officer in the U.S. Army’s 44th General Hospital. From an early age, James grew up listening to his father’s stories of World War II in the Pacific. Later, through his research, James connected the stories to their historical context. What he discovered about the 44th was even more remarkable than his father's stories indicated. His book, "The Battle of Buffalo Wallow", tells the controversial and previously untold story of the 44th General Hospital, courageous and dedicated medical professionals who risked their lives in service to others. James lives in Lenexa, KS with his wife Colleen. He and his wife are avid gardeners, travelers, fly fisherman and hikers. Particularly, they enjoy fishing the streams of Missouri, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.
