James J. Dunn

A retired airline captain and Air Force Officer he acquired a desire to write true crime stories during his twenty-one years of service to his country. Growing up in Albany, New York, he had heard stories, both good and bad, about the O'Connell Political machine. During his genealogy research, he learned of his family's connection, to the famous, 1933 kidnapping of John O'Connell junior. An episode that made front page news for three weeks. After twelve years of digging through declassified FBI files, he pieced together the entire story of the kidnapping. Something that had never been done. His well-documented story has drawn the attention of Hollywood for a television series, a unique achievement for a first time writer.
