Hi, I’m Jane Wiseman, a writer who splits her time between the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico and urban Minneapolis. I write speculative fiction, including my four-book fantasy series Harbingers, the three-book prequel series, Stormclouds, and the two-book companion series, Betwixt & Between, as well as one more book set in the Stormclouds/Harbingers world. All are available in paperback through amazon.com, as well as in ebook format for Kindle and devices that can display Kindle ebooks.

Nine novels for the Nine Spheres of the fantasy universe. A vast saga taking place in a sweep of years from the appearance of the comet of 976 in the skies of a fantasy British Isles through to the moment the comet of 1066– Halley’s Comet— appeared over the skies of both a fantasy British Isles and a fantasy North America.

One more book rounds out the Stormclouds/Harbingers world: Dark Ones Take It, being the origin story of Caedon and his brother Maeldoi, the Dark Rider.

I’m a retired English professor who loves medieval and Renaissance literature especially -probably obvious to anyone reading my fantasy series. But I read anything and everything, and enjoy it all.

As I wrote these books, I faced a big problem. Two of my main characters in the saga are minstrels, but . . .you know. . .books. They can't sing.
