The last four years have been a truly wonderful experience after self-publishing my first book. I never aspired to write novels. Song lyrics and poetry for my personal journal and sometimes short stories for my kids was as far as I ever imagined. "The Landfill" came to life as an experiment. I decided to write something starting with the first thing that came to mind as the first sentence. (Can I have the last donut?) became my first novel. Its sequel, "The Hydra" and the subsequently published book of short stories, "Thirty Blinding White Flashes" came to life in the years following. I'm hoping my audience continues to have patience while waiting for the third book of The Landfill Collective as I transition to a different chapter in my day job.

Born In Chicago, I moved to the west coast while still in grammar school. After ten years as a Californian, my family moved to Seattle. I finished high school and put in a few years of college studying fine art. I eventually became a technician in the material handling industry. After over thirty years as a technician, I've boxed up my tools and become a trainer to equip a new generation for success. My wife and I have moved several times when the times were right. After thirty-plus years of life in Seattle, we moved to Texas and learned to love San Antonio, Austin, and DFW. We've moved once again back to our hometown of Chicago with hopes that this will be our family's permanent residence for at least another thirty blinding white flashes.
