Chell Sommese started down the road to"The Adventure of Dharma Doxie" when she was teaching middle school. She was inspired to write about her “little girl” because Dharma was the most “TAIL WAGGING, LICKING DOG” she ever met.
While writing the book, Chell woke up one morning singing the tune to “The Adventure of Dharma Doxie”. Each morning she would wake up singing the tune. This continued until Chell got a teacher colleague to put the music down on paper. Eventually the song was completed and sung by the Florence Rideout Elementary School Chorus in Wilton New Hampshire. Betsy’s Folly Studio recorded the song at the school and you can now hear it on Dharma’s web site.
Chell and Papa Sommese continue to take Dharma’s book on the road and into the classroom. They give free readings of Dharma’s book, conduct free showings of “Who is Dharma Doxie”, and present the short film “Dharma the Bee”. Each event is wrapped up with teaching students in attendance how to give “Dharma Hugs”. Dharma continues
to travel and share her Adventures on her BLOG. The Adventure of Dharma Doxie”
