Anne Cleary

Anne Cleary is a Cognitive Psychologist at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She received her PhD in 2001 from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She studies human memory, with a heavy focus on its quirks. She writes a blog at Psychology Today called Quirks of Memory and has given two TEDx talks on deja vu as a quirk of memory. Her book "A Guide to Effective Studying and Learning: Insights from the Science of Learning" draws upon the vast fields of science on learning and research on the pervasive disconnect between people's impressions of their learning and their actual learning outcomes to help people learn how to become better, more efficient learners.
