Allison Dearstyne
Allison Dearstyne got the idea for the “My Name” series over a mishap where people kept calling her daughter the wrong name! Now she keeps a gigantic list of names and people she plans to add to the series. She co-authored “28 Days of Black History: Unsung Heroes” and “28 Days of Black History: Unsung Heroes for Littles” with Marsha Davenport. She lives in Maryland with her husband and their four children.
