About Steve Frei:
Steve Frei has been an Emergency Physician for over 30 years. He trained initially in Family Practice, but has practiced Emergency Medicine his whole career, with the last 18 years being exclusively night shift. Steve is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is currently working for Lehigh Valley Health Network at the Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem, PA.
Steve teaches Emergency Medicine residents, and has been involved for many years with Journal Club, evaluating medical articles. He enjoys evidence based medicine, and subscribes to multiple medical journals and publications.
He lives with his wife of 40 years, Judy, near Bethlehem, PA. They have four adult children and are now empty nesters. Steve enjoys gardening, biking, reading, poetry, camping, hiking, disc golf, chainsaws, and fires in their masonry heater fireplace. Steve does as much cooking and baking as Judy, though she will not let him touch the laundry. Steve and his wife are also active in their church and community.
Steve’s book “Making Night Shift Work” is his first public offering, though he has written medical commentaries and poetry, and privately published his grandmother's German cookbook.
