Rachel Rees

Rachel Rees was born in Nelson, New Zealand, but feels most at home in Oamaru where her parents and younger brother live.

She has a Diploma in Creative Writing from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, a Bachelor Degree in Anthropology and Film from Victoria University of Wellington and a Post Graduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies from Otago University.

Her poems and short stories have been published in Deep South Journal, Blackmail Press, Lumiere Reader, The Kiwi Diary and the anthology Work and Space.

Let Her Breathe is her debut collection which spans a decade of writing from 2003 - 2013.
