Laura Swash was born and grew up in Colchester, Essex. She raised her three sons and qualified as a teacher there, and moved in 1996 to teach temporarily in international schools, but never came back! For nearly twenty years she taught social studies, history, economics and psychology in a variety of schools in Thailand, USA, Egypt, Tanzania and Portugal, and now lives with her husband on the tiny Portuguese island of Porto Santo.
Laura has co-authored a student and teacher guide on approaches to learning for the International Baccalaureate and has written online texts for several online educational providers. She is now self-publishing and co-authoring the Psychology Sorted series, a response to requests from teachers worldwide. She loves writing, but also spends her time reading, gardening and scuba diving.
