Janet is excited about her newest book, "Echo Four Five: Portrait of the Groveland Airport." It's a book about the residential airpark where she lived in California.
Janet loves connecting with the real world (non-fiction), exploring unanswered questions, and bringing it to life. This is her first solo work, though it features oral history and stories from several contributing authors.
In addition to "Echo Four Five," Janet has co-authored four books. "Age of Freedom" is an exploration of professional women retiring. "Built for Global" is a business book about entering new markets (also available in Spanish and Chinese). "Eating Happily" is a family cookbook woven with photos, stories, and Mom Gregory's wisdom.
"Hanna's Story" is an autobiography of a Groveland neighbor and WWII war bride (also available in German). "Hanna's Story" spent the better part of 2019 on the top 10 best sellers list in Germany for women's biographies. It also received an Award from the Wyoming Historical Society.
Janet is an active retiree. In her career, she co-founded KickStart Alliance, a business consulting group focused on sales. marketing, and customer success. In her 20 years with KickStart Alliance, Janet inspired company executives and their teams to think differently, adapt, and innovate. Prior to that, she brought two Silicon Valley start-ups to successful IPOs. Janet received the Silicon Valley Tribute to Women in Industry (TWI) Award in 1994. She graduated magna cum laude with a B. A. in English from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. Janet is a pilot, swimmer, skier, and hiker.
