Born in Arkansas in 1973, I have spent most of my life in my home state. I am a graduate of both the University of Central Arkansas, where I received a BA in History and English, and the University of Arkansas, where I graduated with a Master of Arts in History. I have spent the last eight years teaching History at a local college.
When I'm not in the classroom, I am a voracious reader, enjoying a wide variety of genres, from History to Louis L'Amour westerns to Lee Child thrillers to Shakespeare's tragedies. I've been reading almost from the time I could talk. Very little of my spare time is spent without a book in my hand.
I developed a love of writing at a young age, as well. The first writing assignment I remember was in the Second Grade. I was supposed to write a four-page story. My story turned out to be eight pages long, and I received a failing grade for not following instructions. I have been writing short stories since my high school days, but only recently have I decided to share my work with the world. Like my tastes in reading material, my writing covers a wide variety of genres.
