Kevin Dániel di Angelo Alonso Márquez, known as D’Angelo , was born in Rome on December 5th, 1991 . A versatile Italo-Spanish artist, he has developed his career across multiple artistic disciplines: from theatre and photography to film, literature, comedy, and music.
He trained in both Spain and Italy, studying photographic direction at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia e Cinema, later continuing his education in Vigo. Alongside his artistic studies, he completed a science-focused high school diploma at IES Castelao and enrolled in the Biology program at the University of Santiago de Compostela, although he did not complete the degree.
From a young age, he became involved in local theatre groups during secondary school. In 2010, he co-founded the comedy duo Laughs & Lies , which would later evolve into a national event production company focused on comedy until 2014.
In parallel, he deepened his artistic training by obtaining certification in voice acting and radio presenting at the University of Santander in 2012. His creative drive led him to start several musical projects that eventually disbanded, such as Autumn Evenings , Dos Poetas y Una Cuchilla de Afeitar , and Dear Maria . In 2017, he founded the group A.Poetics , winning two awards at the local EISV Music competition the same year. During 2018, their three singles — “La Llamada”, “Sin ti…mejor”, and “Suéter pa’ tu corazón” — were played on local radio stations.
He also directed the theatre company Teatrer@s for three years and collaborated with Teatro Eliab , while continuing to work as a writer and photographer. In 2015, he founded the audiovisual production label D’Vinci Producciones , through which he produced and directed short films and music videos, many based on his own scripts.
In 2019, he decided to settle in Milan, where he works as a social educator, supporting young people with disabilities and assisting vulnerable families. In 2022, he announced pre-production on what he hopes will be his final film, set to be shot in Vigo in 2024.
A multifaceted and sensitive artist, D’Angelo describes himself as a child of a transitional era, growing up between SMS messages and Messenger read receipts, far from today’s digital anonymity. Music, cinema, travel, good coffee shared with friends, and reading are among his greatest passions. Since childhood, his guitar, camera, and notebooks have been his most loyal companions. He writes out of necessity, from the moment he learned to feel. Trains are melancholic muses to him, and he admits he will always cry at the endings of City of Angels and La La Land .
