Nicole Perry

Nicole Perry, better known as Nicky, was born and raised in the island state of Tasmania in Australia. For 20 plus years Nicky has been working as a graphic designer/art director, specializing in publishing, for companies in Australia, the UK and New Zealand.

Nicky first started out studying for a science degree, but soon found that the world of mathematics and computer programming were not for her, but did complete a random paper on Psychology. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in photography and graphic design, but always held an interest in science and especially the workings of the mind.

After marrying a scientist and going on to work as Art Editor at one of Nature Publishing's science journals in London, Nicky found her niche in publishing.

Moving to New Zealand in 2004 with her kiwi husband, broadened Nicky's experience as Art Director of a local men's fashion magazine, and even winning Best Cover 2006 at the Qantas Media Awards. Nicky went onto start her own graphic design business in 2007 with clients from the scientific community and corporate health through to fashion and hospitality, while also raising two boys.

In 2015 Nicky co-founded AwesoME Inc and started designing a range of gratitude journals, heavily based on the principles of positive psychology, and using resilience based tools to help others maintain their mental health and live a truly happy and content life.

Nicky, and her then business partner, went on to win the 2018 HER OWN BOSS Awards, run by NEXT magazine in New Zealand, for their exciting work on resilience building tools.

Nicky took over AwesoME Inc in August 2018 and is continuing to develop resilience building tools to help others build resilience and boost happiness. Find out more at www.AwesomeEndsIn.Me
