I live in Cornwall, in the midst of the ancient land of the Dewnan.

This Sacred Land is the newly published first book in The Chronicle of the Dewnan series.

Set in the Tamar Valley, along the north and south Cornwall and Devon coasts and in Brittany, it tells the story of the first of the great Arthurs (or ‘Artur’ in This Sacred Land), the son of the bear king, and his struggle against treachery, invasion and the might of Julius Caesar in the middle of the first century BCE.

I am passionate about the place I live in, and through a combination of walking, observing and living in the landscape, and a keen interest in lost and forgotten histories I have created a new take on the story of Arthur, where the legend begins far earlier, with a valiant stand against the inevitable advance of the Roman legions.

Victory is never certain, but however it ends, this is a story of intrigue, passion and friendships formed for all time.
