I was born in Italy, but lived in the UK most of my life. I spent 35 years teaching languages to hundreds of amazing young people, including some very famous names such as Kenneth Branagh.

As well as teaching full time, I had three children and a home to look after, so I never had the time to try publishing the stories I made up for my children when they were small.

The other problem was that the stories needed illustrating and I could not draw. Thankfully very recently the internet allowed me to get in touch with some professional illustrators. After experiencing problems with one or two illustrators, I finally found Suraj, who is an amazing artist.

So here I am realizing my ambition now that I have retired....

The photo on the back cover of my books is from the time I was actually writing the stories. Now of course I look older, as it is evident from the other photo.

The Day Of The Great Storm is book 1 from the series " The Enchanted Island"> The other 3 books have not been published yet, but they are in the pipeline ( today it is the 20th March 2019). Suraj is working on the illustrations for Book 2. Watch this space!

Today it is the 7th April 2019. I have just started uploading the second story in the " Enchanted Island " series. It should be live by the end of the week. Its title is " The Wicked Mrs Daisy".

I don't know why I seem to have two biography pages! However, I am now writing here on the 7th of May 2019. Today I will complete the uploading of STORY 4 in the ENCHANTED ISLAND series. Its title is " THE MARATHON RUNNER". The kindle version is already live So all four stories are published!

My illustrator, Suraj, is having a well deserved break this month. He will illustrate my last two children's stories in June. Meanwhile I am writing my biography

Today it is the 19th of June 2019. My 4 Enchanted Flower Island books are all out. This week I have published my AUTOBIOGRAPHY " IN ADVERSITY,THERE IS HOPE" in Kindle format. The paperback will be available in a few days.

There will be 2 more children's stories, after which I will take a rest.

Today it is the first July 2019. The paperback of my autobiography is live on Amazon.

My brilliant illustrator, Suraj, is working on the next story. Watch this space.

After a long silence here I am again, Today it is October the first 2020. Last December I hurt my spine badly, so I am now disabled. Thanks to the wretched pandemic, I have not been treated yet,

The Online Book Club has reviewed my autobiography and awarded it the maximum 4 stars. I don't know how to provide a link, as my computer skills don't stretch so far.

By the way, in my stories I don't believe in using just simple language. but the child should be stretched and learn more sophisticated vocabulary.
