Ron began writing professionally when he worked for PeopleSoft as a curriculum developer, and later as a technical writer. On one assignment, he wrote curriculum for software that had been used to schedule repairs and maintenance on the Space Shuttle. During this time, Ron learned how to explain complicated topics in a clear and concise manner.
Ron's first two books were written to help people with their spiritual life - "A Stanford Degree Won't Get You into Heaven" (for Asian Americans) and "Waiting on God in a High-Speed Culture" (for people who live in areas that are influenced by high-tech). After going through the difficult process of building an in-law unit for his mother, Ron wrote "How to Build an In-Law Unit in California."
