My story is that I was a professional grant writer in rural Kansas for a couple of decades - writing grant applications for job creation, community development and youth leadership development. I was very successful at it and proud of my many projects.

During the crunch times of grant deadlines, I would take breaks from the grant material to clear my mind by writing silly little stories. I kept them in a folder on my laptop and added to the folder regularly over many years. Eventually, the folder of silly little stories began to take shape.

I am a historian/researcher/scriptwriter/actor with the Kansas Alliance of Professional Historical Performers. Through that form of performance art, I have worked on my storytelling skills. And I've uncovered stories lost into history that could be revived and enjoyed by audiences today. The Charles Curtis manuscript is a good example.

I hold a bachelor of science degree in Economics, cum laude, from Emporia State University. Currently, I am a Prevention Consultant in Behavior Health for the State of Kansas.
