I am Cornelia Lévy-Bencheton, a passionate futurist and Smart Cities enthusiast. Smart Cities are the future and the future is happening now. Writing SMART CITIES, SMART FUTURE: SHOWCASING TOMORROW (see John Wiley & Sons and Amazon) with my co-author, Mike Barlow, has been one of the most transformative experiences of my career. Mike and I met and interviewed great people. We travelled. We laughed. We were stunned and delighted by what we saw and heard and learned about the challenges and opportunities we are facing on our collective journey into the future. As a global movement, Smart Cities is really exciting. And working with Mike is fantastic.
Here’s a bit more about me: I am a strategic marketing and communications professional. Part of my career has been as an executive in corporate America – mostly in the financial world. The balance has been as an independent entrepreneur and consultant. As a business person, I love to help people connect better with their customers and I help them by constructing a case for how to do that. I use investigative techniques and analysis. I love data. The more data, the better and the more visuals, the better because that provides a basis for understanding things. I also love technology because it makes our lives easier, better and more enjoyable. As an independent, I write. Mostly about technical subjects. I’m an official O’Reilly Media author on topics relating to the evolution in the banking world, fintech and how tech is changing our culture.
An ardent traveller, I flex my foreign language muscles through frequent and enthusiastic travel.
