Brian Fleig

Brian Fleig is a veteran ER nurse with over 30 years in the trenches. From Level 1 trauma centers to four-bed rural hospitals, he’s seen the full spectrum of human chaos—and lived to write about it. His books capture the raw, unfiltered reality of emergency medicine, told with equal parts dark humor and hard-earned empathy. Always the hard core cynic.

He’s worked in hospitals across the U.S., including Vegas, Hawaii, California, New York and more. A former travel nurse and strike nurse, Brian also ran his own agency and now splits his time between writing, woodworking, and wondering why hospital security is always the weakest link. He currently lives in Central New York.
