Lynn Skinner

LYNN SKINNER is a classically trained singer, improvising jazz vocalist, composer and recording artist, voice teacher, writer and coach. She has toured in North America and abroad for more than 40 years as a musician and educator while maintaining a Denver-based voice studio for people of all stages, ages, dreams and schemes.

Born with a classical voice, Lynn realized her personality was a wee bit more free-spirited than much of the repertoire she studied and performed during her formal training and music education. So, after college, she migrated to vocal jazz (to allow her wild side out) as well as composing eclectic original music (from confessional to humorous). She still enjoys singing a variety of styles - especially for public and private concert audiences.

'Vocal Pathways: Exploring the Heart of Our Sound' is the first book Lynn has officially published. There appear to be more literary works on the burner.

Lynn loves everything possible about the voice: its mystery, magnificence, fragility, versatility, honesty, power, radiance and truth. She is determined to share its abundance with others, unabashedly.
