Lori Qian is a writer, teacher, and public speaker, who believes in lifelong learning and living life to the fullest.
Because she has been able to transform her own life in so many ways, she has become passionate about helping others make positive changes in their own lives. She has written educational, self-help, travel, and feature articles and has presented throughout the world on Invoking Creativity, How to Get out of Emotional Ruts, Building Better Writers in Elementary School, Finding Faith in the Journey, Intercultural Parenting, and travel, to name a few.
She is a dedicated mother and loves spending time with her family, claiming that her 3 amazing children are her best teachers and motivators. She enjoys travel, and has explored 20 countries and counting, but is really happiest at home.
She holds a BA in Anthropology and Philosophy, an MA in Applied Linguistics, and has advanced graduate training in school leadership, literacy instruction, and elementary education.
After living in China for 10 years, she recently relocated to Alpine, Utah with her family, ready to embrace an entirely new adventure.
Lori’s first book, How Sweet the Bitter Soup, will be published by She Writes Press in August, 2019. She is currently working on her second book, Fighting for Fitness, a memoir of her own health transformation.
