Evan Wecksell

Evan Wecksell grew up in Great Neck, NY, where he ran track, played trombone, and slept in a race car bed. After graduating from Tufts University, he interned at the NHL—until that dream job turned into a “now what?” moment. Thankfully, a seminar at NYU revealed something better: he was funny. That discovery launched his comedy career and a cross-country stand-up journey, with thousands of shows across 48 states (wink wink, Arkansas and Mississippi).

He’s appeared on VH1’s I Love the 80s, Conan, The Goldbergs, and The Gong Show, and his musical comedy is streaming on SiriusXM, Spotify, and Pandora.

As an author, Evan first tackled sports radio absurdity with Dumb Stuff and Mike Francesa’s Greatest Hits. Since then, he’s gotten a little more universal. His comedy coloring book Animal Woes features stressed-out, expressive animals panicking over everyday disasters. It’s been described as “relatable, hilarious, and oddly therapeutic” (probably by Evan).

His most popular release bas been The Spam Whisperer, which dives into laugh-out-loud conversations with scammy strangers. And yes, The Spam Whisperer 2: Never Stop Whispering is on the way—because apparently Evan can't stop talking to criminals and bots who instantly regret engaging with him.
