Hello! My name is Andy and I independently write, edit and publish my own books. (That means you can blame me for any typos you find)

My main series is "The Not-So-Romantic Railways" which was inspired not only by my 15 years of explaining the world of the railways to a whole host of audiences, but also when I saw that railway literature was either for young children or railway enthusiasts. There was very little for everyone else.

The Not-So-Romantic Railways series focuses on the people behind the railways, the stories that aren't always told because they don't include enough rivet counting. I wanted to share the history of the railways without getting bogged down with all the engineering in an accessible way- which I believe I have done!
