J.D. is fascinated by the liminal spaces within the human experience, and writing is the perfect medium to explore those spaces. His work focuses on neurodivergent characters who live "in-between" worlds. The Blue Jewel (2019) is his debut novel. His sci-fi noir, The Emerald Princess (2021), is set in the same universe but about a generation after the events of the Blue Jewel. His third novel, Bill's Bytes (2023), is a contemporary buddy road trip adventure that he wrote while hiding from his other manuscript that was giving him nightmares (literally! It’s a horror novel, and you can expect it soon-ish).
J.D., his artist-illustrator sweetheart Corina, and their family love life in Arizona. They enjoy reading, doodling, and playing guitar. Their house is full of books, quiet reading spaces, a napping cat, and two rambunctious toddlers.
