I have always been a day dreamer, at school I would stare out of the window letting my mind drift away from fractions and French to amazing adventures in space and time, flying Spitfires, joining Captain Kirk in the final frontier, being a motor racing champion and spraying the champagne into the air on the podium. Such a vivid imagination has been both a blessing and a curse, bad for studying but great for inventing stories and telling tall tales which led me to create Time Tourist my first novel. I have always dreamed of being able to visit the past, to observe, interact with and explore lands lost in time and writing Time Tourist allowed me to do just that.
Strangely, for a writer and daydreamer I have a condition called Aphantasia, or the inability to visualise images in my mind, this means I imagine with words not images. As a result I have no idea what Ian, the main protagonist of my novel, looks like so I never describe his appearance.
I leave that to the readerīs imagination.
