Pascal Kahlem

Owner of Scientific Network Management SL (Spain registered).

PhD in Human Genetics at the University Paris VII (France) obtained with honours in 1999. I pursued three Post-docs on Human Genetics successively at the CNRS (Paris, France), Max-Planck-Institute (Berlin, Germany) and Charité Hospital (Berlin, Germany). My research contributed to a better understanding of 1) the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in Huntington's disease; 2) the molecular consequences of trisomy 21; 3) the possibility to induce cell arrest to stop lymphoma's progression.

Since 2006 I have been involved in operations management of large European Life Sciences research networks: ENFIN, SYBARIS, ProteomeXchange, MICROME, TransPLANT, and lately ELIXIR a Pan-European Infrastructure for Life Sciences, where I coordinated successively the Computing and Tools technical platforms and the Training platform. These international research networks aim at improving research quality and standards by bringing top European researchers together to focus on the most challenging research topics of our time such as personalised medicine, cancer, etc.

Scientific Network Management S.L. was created in 2013 to provide support to researchers and entrepreneurs on grant writing, assessment, training, and management of research and innovation projects.
