Massimo Garbuio, PhD, is Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Sydney Business School. Working at the intersection of design thinking and strategy, Massimo's research explores how master strategists think about innovation and disruption, allocate resources and make decisions. Collaborative research projects include two global studies with the McKinsey Quarterly and the Australian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital. Massimo actively participates in shaping public opinion on innovation, writing and speaking for the Australian Financial Review, SBS and The Conversation. He has published in global academic journals including the California Management Review, Design Studies, The Academy of Management Learning and Education, Long Range Planning and Journal of Management. He is a member of the Strategic Management Society, the Design Research Society and the Academy of Management. He is a co-author of the book 'Healthcare Entrepreneurship' and '6 Blocks for Successful Innovation: How Entrepreneurial Leaders Design Innovative Futures'.
