M. L. Lyons is a poet, writer and arts advocate. Lyons was awarded a Klepser Fellowship at the University of Washington. Later she studied publishing at Simon Fraser University and then interned at Copper Canyon Press. She has worked as a screenwriter and publicist in the entertainment industry, an editor for literary journals and a grants writer for literary arts organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. She is co-editor of the poetry anthology, “Raising Lilly Ledbetter: Women Poets Occupy the Workplace.” Most recently she was awarded a scholarship for the Vortext Writing Retreat at Hedgebrook. Her poetry collection,”Songs from the Multiverse” has been published by Finishing Line Press in 2025.
