James Griffiths

James Griffiths is Asia Correspondent for The Globe and Mail, Canada's national newspaper. Born and raised in Ynys Mon, Wales, Griffiths attended the University of Liverpool before moving first to Shanghai and then Hong Kong, where he has lived for over a decade. As a journalist, Griffiths has reported from across Asia for The Globe, CNN, The Atlantic and the South China Morning Post. He is the author of "The Great Firewall Of China: How To Build And Control An Alternative Version Of The Internet," and "Speak Not: Empire, identity and the politics of language."
