James Lucot Jr

James Lucot Jr. teaches high school A.P. U.S. Government and U.S. History. He also created a Holocaust Studies course that he teaches at a community college in the Pittsburgh area. He began he professional career as a registered nurse but made the career change to pursue his lifelong passion of history. When school is not in session he volunteers at his children’s school and multiple veteran’s programs including Honor Flight Pittsburgh. He has coordinated a History Roundtable for 20 years bringing history makers, veterans and Holocaust survivors to his community. He enjoys woodworking, photography and reading. His personal academic research is the Holocaust which have taken him to Poland and Israel on educational studies. He received a B.S.N. from Duquesne University, an M.S.A. from the University of Notre Dame and Pennsylvania State Education Certificate from Robert Morris University. He currently is working on a Master’s in Holocaust and Genocidal Studies at Gratz College. James lives north of Pittsburgh, PA with his wife Suzanne and their two children, Nick who is a junior engineering student at Purdue University and Tara is in high school.
