Annie Streit

I am a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Social Studies Education. A Dog Named Bird is my second book in a series of children’s rhyming picture books. The first book is titled Scooter and His Scoot Scoot. I reside in Angola, IN, and also spend time in Noblesville, IN, where I write children’s books, and speak to groups of all ages about my life experiences and becoming an author. I have been wheelchair bound since May of 2005 as the result of a diving accident. Many of my stories stem from navigating through life in a wheelchair and overcoming obstacles. I am a lover of all animals, working with children, and being an advocate for those with disabilities.
