I used to feel like a woman who had melted into my family and who carried things across finish lines and deadlines.

Back in 2018 after I had my fourth baby... I started journaling in order to capture my thoughts (just any thoughts really) and to try to re-learn who I actually was, and attempt to discover what things were important to me.

I believe that women specifically go through a type of spiritual re-birth themselves after having a baby. It requires a regathering and regrouping of all thoughts, feelings, sense of body, sense of wholeness... It's a type of re-birth that is a privilege and also can take you to a very dark space.

Journaling was a way for me to look at myself in a compassionate way and forced me to look at the good things inside of me and around me.

It really is just a very basic practice that helped me tremendously during the days that seemed very dark and it helped me log the days filled with sunshine.

After feeling so much peace and gratitude from journaling - it inspired me to make journals for other women.
