Ed Elhaderi was born in 1951 in a nomadic village (population of 400) in the Libyan Sahara. He graduated from the University of Tripoli at the top of his class, earning the First National Honor Award in engineering. He has a master's in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in the same subject from The University of Southern California. A real estate broker and Investor, he is active in his synagogue & community, a practitioner of mindful Buddhist meditation, and a teacher for the National Alliance on Mental Health Illness Family-to-Family program ( NAMI.Org). He loves to hike and is an avid tennis player. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Barbara. They are the proud parents of Jessica and Jason.
