Natalie Kombe

Natalie Kombe was born in 1981 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Africa, and has always been a Creative. Her passion for the Arts led her to graduating Rhodes University in Grahamstown South Africa in 2004, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Drama and Classical Civilizations. In her time at Rhodes she also studied music theory and performance with Jazz Vocals and Classical Guitar as her electives. Afterward she attended a film school in Cape Town South Africa called AFDA (Africa Film Dramatic Arts) receiving a BA honours degree in 2005.

She moved back to Harare Zimbabwe, and her work experience comprised of her working as, the Youth Zone Consultant for HIFA (Harare International Festival of Arts) 2006-2009; the Production Manager for a pilot shoot of a sitcom entitled It’s 4 Life, which was later commissioned by Mzansi Magic, 2009; the Festival Coordinator for Zimbabwe Film Festival Trust, 2011-2012; and the Festival Coordinator for Shoko, an Urban Culture Festival in Harare, 2013-2017. In 2018 she started her own film production company (Inkosikazi Productions), which is currently in the development stages of getting a comedy TV series she wrote, made. In 2010 she wrote her first Novel Majesta: Part One of the Dreama Chronicles which has now been published. She is currently writing Emperus: Part Two of the Dreama Chronicles.
