Jake Johnson

I am a scholar of American music and culture, working primarily to understand how communities in the nation's margins use music to fashion themselves as American. Currently I am Associate Professor of Musicology in the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University. I earned my PhD in musicology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
