Hi, I am Rafael Medrano from El Paso, Texas. I am married with three adult children, and one amazing grandson. I introduced my first book, "I See Me” 5 years ago. A children's (0-7 years) book that began as a little poem I wrote for my son on his seventh birthday, and now that he is thirty five years old, the story continues with my grandson, now six years old. I'm now happy to introduce my second book, “Jampo: Lost Prince of Re Ba Temple and His Lhasa Guards.” It is a story of hope and courage set in the snow capped mountains of Tibet. It is geared towards middle school and young adult aged children, but I believe it is a timeless story for all to enjoy. Currently, I am thinking of publishing a book of poems that I have written over the years. Another project I'm considering is a memoir of my experience as a medical student, intern, resident, and cardiology fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, during the mid 80's to early 90's. I enjoy traveling, bicycling, playing guitar, sailing, and most of all, spending time with family!
