Ram Menon

Ram Menon is a former Army officer of the Indian Army. He has served for more than 20 years in various parts of India and abroad and has seen many different cultures and regions . He did his initial schooling in New Delhi after which he graduated from Delhi University. He is a keen observer of people and has interacted with people who live in forests, mountains, conflict prone areas and cities and writes about them. He brings with him many myths, lores and incidents in the form of poetry and prose which he has heard and observed from his extensive tour of remote areas of the country . He feels deeply for the poor, the displaced and the oppressed and writes about them. A keen student of science and technology he bridges the gap between the challenges of rapid modernisation with more rustic cultures and the challenges they pose in his works. He is married and resides in New Delhi .
