Debra M. Yoder

Deb Yoder is a psychology professor and licensed professional counselor supervisor, LPC-S. She has served over thirty years in higher education as a coach, administrator and professor. Bringing the best out in others is the common thread throughout her career and personal life. She earned her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin and has master's degrees in counseling and kinesiology. Deb is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator+Clinician, an Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator, and Courage Facilitator receiving her training from the Center for Renewal and Wholeness in Higher Education. These are all skill sets designed to help others discover who they were born to be and what they were born to do--and do it in a state of flow rather than struggle.

Her real passion is helping others discover how to "be" instead of "do." Living the life we were meant to live doesn't just happen. Success requires being aware of the inner self and then mindfully applying strategies and practices that bring out the highest, best, sacred, real self.

Deb's belief is that we are all perfectly imperfect and that's alright. Through courageous conversations where we practice empathy, withhold judgment, listen deeply, and extend grace to ourselves and to others--we can be a force for good in the world.

Deb lives in Rockwall, Texas with her husband Byron where she has a private practice and facilitates formation retreats. She can be contacted at deb@debyoder.com
