Shanda L Brown

Shanda L. Brown is a native of Newark, New Jersey. She is the founder and owner of GodGirlzMatter, a non-profit organization that assists women and children that need help with the transition process of beginning again. Shanda’s personal experience as a trauma survivor inspired her to want to help others. As a self-published author of There Is Hope On the Other Side, a personal memoir, she shares a brief portion of her life's journey. She works to assist families and communities by bringing awareness to issues that create disparities and instabilities within the family unit. She is a graduate of Rutgers the State University holding a Master's Degree in Social Work. Mrs. Brown is happily married to Will Brown, has three children and is the proud grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren.
