Christina Artemis

Christina was born of an English mother and a Cypriot father, and given the name the Greeks used to worship the moon - ‘Artemis’. She trained as a professional actress, singer and dancer, and gained a City of London’s Teaching Degree in Drama (LGSM&D). Alongside a successful and extraordinary theatrical career that spanned opera, musical theatre, cabaret, television and films, she developed a keen interest in healing and psychic work. Christina loved the theatre but there was always something missing; then something happened that changed her life. Her mother died. This plummeted her into a deeper search for answers.

Her life dramatically changed in 1980, when she when she was fortunate enough to be able to train in Integrative Breath Therapy with the founder Leonard Orr from the USA. Alongside were other major teachers Sondra Ray, Deepak Chopra, Sheryl Sellman and Dr Eve Jones. Christina was so ‘blown away’ by the power of the Breath to transform on all levels; this was the healing technique she had been looking for! After attending an advanced leadership training in Europe, and the USA with Leonard, she qualified as a Euro-Certified Rebirther, a LRT (Loving Relationships Training Program) sponsored Rebirther, a UK registered Rebirth Practitioner with BRS (British Rebirth Society) and the IBF (International Breath-work Foundation).

Christina has continued to create her own self development courses, workshops and professional training throughout the UK and abroad. Her accomplishments include owning and managing a Healing Centre for ten years in Bristol for Transformational Breath work in the 90’s. Of particular note, she developed Self Mastery (A one-year professional breath-mastery training), Goddess and Warrior Courses. She has enjoyed an international reputation with these in UK, Cyprus, New Zealand, Bali, Israel and returned from Australia in late 90’s.

Whilst resuming her professional acting career in London, she wrote, directed and performed two original plays, ‘Soulmates’ and a one-woman show ‘Three Faces of Eve’. She also established her own theatre company, Artemis Performance Arts in 2004.

A move to Bournemouth, on the beautiful Dorset coast, enabled her to produce thirteen ground-breaking fringe theatre productions, all of original work; giving opportunities for many in the community to raise their self esteem and skills.

Her life’s work has come to fruition during the past ten years; her unique brand of self development, Transformational Theatre became the culmination and synthesis of forty years of experience in both professional theatre and Conscious Breathing (Integrative Breath mastery therapy evolved from rebirthing).

Christina is delighted to be offering a new phase of her work with ‘Doorways to Power’ workshops, courses and training. She also continues to offer Life Energy Counselling for individuals and companies

Her passion is inspiring others to transform their lives and live their dreams

Interesting Footnote: Christina says, “As an actress, my favorite roles included Agnes Gooch in ‘Mame’ at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, with Ginger Rogers; Operas as Adele in ‘Die Fledermaus’, and Magda in ‘The Consul’; Aldonza/Dulcinae in ‘Man of La Mancha’; performing this in England and Nairobi, Kenya. I appeared in many different comedy roles in the late Ronnie Barker’s TV Series’. Films such as ‘Oliver!’ and ‘Where is Parsifal?’ with Tony Curtis and more recently a clairvoyant in the BBC series ‘Harbour Lights’.”
