Michael Francis Jacquart

I am an editor and writer with more than 30 years’ experience who has written for newspapers, magazines, and other publications. I hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UW-Oshkosh.

From 2010 until I retired in January 2022, I served as editor of the Journal of Employee Assistance, a 36-page digital magazine for the leading professional association in this field. I also previously edited and published a newsletter for this same audience, the "Employee Assistance Report."

While I greatly enjoyed assisting this audience, my latest career pivot has involved writing books! My newest endeavor, "Climbing out of Darkness: A Personal Journey into Mental Wellness" was completed in December 2022. That is, with the expert assistance of contributor MARINA LONDON. While there is greater awareness about the importance of mental health, there remains a lot of misunderstanding about it - especially the impact that a mental health challenge can have on one's career. This is an area I have experienced PERSONALLY. My goal is for this book to help fill this gap. Actually, this book is also a thank you for sorts for the same employee assistance field, which led me to my diagnosis twenty years ago.

My first book, "A Century of Excellence: 100 Greatest Packers Of All Time" was self-published in 2019. Designer Shawn Williams handled the original illustrations and layout.

My second book, "Green Bay's Greatest: Profiles of the Packers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame" was released by McFarland in January 2022. Interviewing Packers great Jerry Kramer was among the highlights of my new book. The Pro Football Hall of Fame, Neville Public Museum of Brown County, and Mark Forseth, a friend of mine, were among key photo contributors.

I love researching topics for devoted fans of both Packers and NFL history. I recently joined the Pro Football Researchers Association to learn even more.
