Hello,

I’m Jeffrey Geiger, author of German Prisoners of War at Camp Cooke, California and Camp Cooke and Vandenberg Air Force Base, 1941-1966. I served more than 30 years as the chief civilian historian at Vandenberg. During that time I built an extensive archives for the Air Force, and was fortunate to meet many visiting veterans of Camp Cooke and from Vandenberg’s formative years. These encounters plus my own historical research have given me a unique insight into the distinctive history of the base that I share with readers of my books.
