Don K. Philpot

Don K. Philpot (b. 1960) was born and raised in two Canadian cities, Edmonton and Winnipeg, and spent the first part of his adult life in two Cree communities in northern Manitoba. Don is a writer, teacher, and teacher educator with undergraduate and graduate degrees in teacher education, Native studies, and language and literacy education from the Universities of Manitoba and British Columbia. Don currently resides in Pennsylvania where he teaches university courses in children’s literature and reading pedagogy in the elementary, middle grade, and master’s programs.
