Nick Procter grew up in the grey suburbs of London, but with an airline employee as a father, had visited all the world's continents before he was a teenager.
In his 20s, he avidly read and reread travel books - Bill Bryson, Tony Hawks, Dave Gorman, Paul Theroux (yes, Louis's dad), Pete McCarthy.
In his 30s, life sent him to ten unlikely destinations he hadn't planned to travel to - Gibraltar, Finland, Seattle, Denmark, The Vatican, Monaco and more. He wrote his first book about these experiences.
He's now in his 40s and is waiting to see what the decade holds in store.
