Wayne Adams

Wayne Adams is a first-time author (at age 84) who just came out simultaneously with two books at opposite ends of the age scale: "My Backwards Day" (a rhymed children's story) and "Downhill Is Where The Fun Is" (humorous essays on aging).

"My Backwards Day" tells the story of a youngster who wakes up to a scary situation. Things are happening in very strange ways. Finally, she figures out what's going on--time is running backwards! As the day progresses, she learns how not only to deal with this situation, but to turn it into a whole lot of fun.

For an older audience, "Downhill Is Where The Fun Is" provides a long list of humorous essays on what's usually a serious subject --aging.

Wayne is qualified to write about both ends of the age scale, since he's become rather acquainted with both his first and second childhood. He and his wife, Mickey, have three sons, three daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. They and their supervisor, a small furry companion named Miss Daisy, live in Ramsey, Minnesota. The three enjoy spending their time writing, gourmet cooking, or sniffing.
