I am on a journey of discovery, sometimes laughing, sometimes weeping at what I see along the way. I am often tempted to walk past the suffering, and probably do that more often than I would like to admit. I have this crazy notion that I have a responsibility, and somehow, I can make a difference. It comes from a discovery I made when I was twenty years old, reading the most popular book in the world, the one breathed out by our Creator. I came across the part where He said, 'Ask anything in my name and I will do it'. I am still grappling to come to terms with that incredible challenge.

I find release and perspective as I rest into His arms of love. And yet those same arms gently lead me forward on my journey, not sparing me the confusion, but embracing me in the pain. I see the scars on His hands, and yet still feel the joy pulsing from His heart.
