Selamawit Thomas

Selamawit Thomas (1976) was born in Guyana, South America. At the age of nine, her family migrated to Brooklyn, New York. Selamawit always knew she wanted to be an writer and at the precious age of ten, her parents gifted her a typewriter for her birthday. She promptly wrote her first book, an autobiography. Selamawit has successfully reinvented herself every decade. She worked in the financial industry, then returned to school and earned dual degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education with a minor in Psychology. Selamawit graduated in 2015 Magna Cum Laude from CUNY Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, NY. For the past 10 years she has taught preschool as well as elementary school children. Currently, she teaches a rambunctious group of first graders in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom. Her current self reinvention has come full circle as she is dedicating time to becoming a successful author, motivational speaker and course creator. She is committed to helping everyone on the planet to live dynamic successful lives.
