Brad Olsen

Brad Olsen is currently a senior fellow at the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution. He is also an emeritus professor of education at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research, teaching, and writing focus on global education; teachers, teaching, and teacher education; school reform; sociolinguistics; and philosophical perspectives on education. Dr. Olsen is series editor for The Teacher’s Toolkit (2010, Paradigm Publishers). He is a recipient of the 2007 UCSC Excellence in Teaching award. His most recent book is Teaching for Success (Routledge, 2016).
